God is good and it is not cancer!!! Metisha just got out of surgery and the pathology report says it’s a fungus! The ENT doctor said it was extremely thick and had spread all the way to the base of her brain, so he had to do a lot of scraping to get it cleaned out. Since they had to scrape around her brain, she will be in ICU for a few hours so they can more closely monitor her and on IV drips for 48 hours. Praise God that this is not cancer and thank you for all of the late night/early morning prayers!
Pray that Tisha will not have any complications from the surgery and that her vision will be restored to 20/20. Pray for a quick and easy recovery. Also pray for Mark and my mom Barbara as they care for Tisha after surgery.

Amazingly enough, something woke me up at 4 this morning and brought me to the computer. Now I know why! Wonderful Metisha! I am so thankful for this news. It is so unbelievable the power of prayer. I am truly amazed each day.

that's so random (but not really random, if you really think about it, i guess) but i too have been awake now for nearly an hour (it's almost 6am) which for me is a huge RARE occasion. don't know if there's anything going on w/ya and your recovery but i've been praying and sending good thoughts your way for the last hour or so. i didn't think to check the blog til just now, though. oh how thankful i am to hear the latest report! keep your chin up! we love you girl!

Metisha is at Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth, but she cannot have any visitors today because she is in ICU. I will let everyone know her room number as soon as they move her out of ICU. Thanks for the prayers and support!
Thank goodness! What a HUGE relief to know what is happening! Praise God for His answer to our prayers!!
